While sales volume remains low, it is trending up — the 31 sales closed during the single month of April were sharply up from the 23 closed in March and 19 closed in February.

HISTORIC 1875 HOME

House is set back from the local road. Naturalizing evergreen border frames house and yard and gives it a privacy curtain from the street.






Original natural hemlock siding - priceless in today's market. Stained natural wood colors to blend in & harmonize with natural setting.

Sturdy construction quality is unheard of in this day of McMansions and fast building methods.

Floor beams supporting the house are approximately 1 foot square. History books reveal that houses in this area were built by the "floating ship" method.

Trees were hewn and soaked in a pit of brine & tar for 2 years - thus preserving and hardening them for centuries of use. The approximately 1 feet square beams form the base of the house. This structure was built on a 4 foot deep pit which was filled with gravel. Thus the entire solid solid solid structure of the house floats like a ship on this 4 foot deep boulder pile. The solid house of naturally preserved timbers, plaster & lathe heavy wall construction were built on this very solid foundation.

Newly Designed Front Porch runs 50 feet across entire length of house.

This loggia was constructed with 8" beams to support future construction of a 2nd story loggia - accessed through sliding pation doors in the upper healing chamber.

A visiting artisan hand crafted this charming shed. Hard-oak trellis supports a rambling Himalayan rose with incredibly fragrant blossoms in the mid-spring each year.

This little "mini-cottage" is so popular, that gardener-designer Jacque from France insisted on living in it one summer while he designed the Angel Garden in the rear of the house. (See later post with story & picture.) All the neighbors comment on how utterly charming this little garden house is!

Consecration of our newly-restored well was orchestrated by our spirit guides. As we chanted OM, I poured a container of sacred waters over the well shaft. Our spirit guide poured a celestial pitcher of scintillating platinum light down over us and through our physical water offering. This water/lightfall entered and permeated our well and water supply. The words were given: "Now your water is holy water and everyone who bathes in your house or drinks water in your house will have a holy bath and holy drink."

Visiting shamans have covered the house & grounds with angelic pyramids of protection for the property plus harmonizing energetics of the grounds and all visitors.

 

These two separate living apartments were added onto the main farmhouse.

The single room living quarter (the one with the Red Door) has a mini kitchen and a private bath. (See photo showing architecturally designed shower further down.)

The 2 room living quarter in the rear features a private entrance, private bath, kitchen, and mini deck/sitting area.

Both quarters have separate heating units & private entrances.

Both units also enter into the Great Room of the Main House - thus providing both privacy as well as congeniality - as fits your mood.

ANGEL MEDITATION & REFLECTION GARDEN & POND


* ANGEL GARDEN created by Jacque from France.

Using all natural local stones, he created a very natural looking reflecting pond. Then Jacque visited nearby local ponds and asked which plants would like to come and live in our angel garden water pond.

Happily, many lovely plants came. Then, the local frogs soon took up residence, too, and yearly return to sing in the early spring, and delight & amuse us all the time!

When Jacque finished his masterpiece garden, he invited us and the angels to a special invocation & celebration. Dancing with tambourines and drums, we invited the angels to bless us and take up residence in our Angel Garden.

When you sit there by the pond, you can feel the divine presence of the angels all around, as you laugh at the silly frogs playing and inhale the healing fragrance of the flowers and pine forest all around. The Angel Garden is also an excellent private au-natural sunbathing spot.

Behind the Angel Garden is a pathway leading into the 155 acre forest preserve behind the house.

This sweet angel stands guard over the back Angel Meditation Garden and pond in early spring.

The pathway behind the pond leads into the 155+ acre forest preserve where there are walking trails, and a large fire pit for ceremonial gatherings.
